Memorial Day Tournament Triple Crown Results 2-2
Capitals 16 Dynasty 4
From the moments the Capitals hit the field the offense was in full
swing. The Capitals jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked
back. A great team win.
Long Island Bandits 11 Capitals 10
Trailing 9-0 in the first inning, the Capitals charged back to tie the
game in the last inning of play. The Capitals lost the game when
they surrender two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.
Yorkville 7 Capitals 6
In the best game of the year the Capitals lost the game in the
bottom of the 7th on a California tie breaker format. The Capitals
were led by Cory Baldwin (Cromell, CT) offense and stellar play
defensively. TJ Nesbit (Manchester, CT) pitched 6 complete
innings in his longest stint of the year.
Capitals 15 Half Hollow Hills 2
Matt Cleveleand (Windsor, CT) pitched a strong game for the Capitals
striking out 8 batters. The Capital offense was led by many
players including three hits from Devin Sanchez (South Windsor, CT)
CT Capitals 7 CT Bombers 6
Alex Wales pitched back to back complete games for the Capitals.
Wales's outing was equally impressive as he shutdown a very good hitting
offense. Big hits in the game included Jacob Siracusa, Tyler
Gammie and Brett Frank. The Capitals played stellar defense in the
opening game of the twinbill.
CT Bombers 17 CT Capitals 6
The Capitals got things go early with a 5-2 lead thanks to some
agressive baserunning and Kyle Klavins (Wethersfield, CT) first homerun.
However, poor defense by the Capitals allowed the Bombers to score eight
runs in the bottom of the third. The Capitals fought back but the
Bombers had to many answers.
CT Capitals 5 Worcester Heat 4
Alex Wales (East Hampton, CT) pitched the first complete game of the
season for the Capitals in a battle for the border Saturday morning.
Trailing early after a leadoff homerun by the Heat, Wales was able to
settle down and throw strikes against a very good hitting Heat team.
Brett Frank (Newington, CT) delivered the biggest hit of the game, a two
strike, single with runners on 2nd and 3rd gave the Capitals the lead
they would hold of for the next three innings.

Taylor Kieselbeck (Simsbury, CT) pitched 5 1/3 innings in the
second game thus, providing the Capitals with yet another solid pitching
effort. Taylor had great command and was able to pick the strike
zone apart. The Capitals were led by stellar defensive efforts
from Devin Sanchez (South Windsor, CT), Jacob Siracusa (South Windsor,
CT) and Matt Goldman (Newington, CT). The offense was rolling in
the second game with big hits from Billy Bollash (Manchester, CT), Tyler
Gammie (Wethersfield, CT), Jacob Siracusa (South Windsor, CT) and Matt
Cleveland (Windsor, CT).

CT Capitals 13 New England Wolfpack 1
The Capitals won the consolation bracket and finished fifth this
weekend. The Capitals won the game 13-1 and were led by a strong
hitting attack led by Zak Rosa (Wethersfield, CT) , Jacob Siracusa
(South Windsor, CT), Ryan Nesbit (Manchester, CT), Brett Frank
(Newington, CT) and Bill Bollash (Manchester, CT). The Capitals
received a great pitching effort from TJ Nesbit (Manchester, CT).
CT Capitals 7 TEAM Connecticut 5
The Caps beat TCB in the first round of the consolation game at the
Triple Crown tournament at Dom Aitro field by scoring 5 runs in the
fourth inning. The Capitals got a tremendous pitching effort from
Alex Wales (East Hampton, CT) and Brett Frank (Newington, CT). The
Capitals outhit the Team Connecticut and were led by Jacob Siracusa
(South Windsor, CT), Tyler Gammie (Wethersfield, CT) and in a
spectacular game Saturday. The win put the Capitals into the
championship consolation game later this afternoon.
CT Capitals vs. New York Renegades
The Caps brought their A game in the mid-day session and had 16
hits. This total team effort earned them the number one seed in
the consolation bracket.
Cheshire Reds 9 CT Capitals 6
The Caps took a tough loss from the Reds in the opening round
of Triple Crown tournament, 9-6. The Caps trailed 8-0 but rallied
back to make it 8-6, but eventually surrendered one more run.
Brett Frank (Newington, CT) pitched 3 solid innings.
CT Capitals 5 Bunkerhill

Strong pitching by the Caps won this tight war with Bunkerhill, 5-0.
Great pitching performances all around from TJ Nesbit (Manchester, CT),
Alex Wales (East Hampton, CT) and Tyler Gammie (Wethersfield, CT).
Gammie also hit another homerun for the Capitals.

The Caps belted out 25 runs and won the game 25-1.
This was a total team effort and the Capitals hit a season high 8
doubles in the game. Everyone contributed in this game on the
offensive and defensive end.

Tyler Gammie (Wethersfield, CT) and
Billy Bollash (Manchester, CT) hit homeruns in the second game as the
merry-go-round continued for the Caps. The Caps scored 7 runs in
the first inning and never looked back. They got strong pitching
from Connor Schenk (Coventry, CT) and solid relief help from Matt
Cleveland (Windsor, CT) and Devin Sanchez (South Windsor, CT). The
Caps have won 5 in a row. The final score 25-10.
CT Capitals vs. Springfield Titans (4/19/08)
Game 1
Brett Frank pitched the longest stint of the season for
the Caps. He went three strong innings while fielding his position
very well. Several Caps had multiple hits including Kyle Klavins
(Wethersfield, CT), Jacob Siracusa (South Windsor, CT) and Alex Wales
(East Hampton, CT). Taylor Kieselbeck (Simsbury, CT) recorded the
first 1-2-3 inning of the season for the defensive minded Caps.
CT Capitals vs. Rhode Island Reds (4/13/08)
Game 1
The Caps hurt themselves with some poor defense and too many
walks. The Reds took advantage and scored early. The
Reds made some big plays to hold off a key Capital comeback in the 5th
inning. Billy Bollash (Manchester, CT) delivered a big hit to get
the Capitals within one but the game was ultimately lost 10-9.
CT Capitals vs. Rhode Island Reds (4/13/08) Game 2
CT Capitals took the second game today at East Catholic High School.
The Caps opened up the second game by scoring 9 runs in the first
inning. The hit parade was on and the Capitals never looked back.
Several Capitals had multiple hits including Matt Cleveland (Windsor,
CT), Tyler Gammie (Wethersfield, CT) and TJ Nesbit (Manchester, CT).
Homeruns were hit by Devin Sanchez (South Windsor), Kyle Klavins
(Wethersfield, CT) and TJ Nesbit (Manchester, CT). (Brett Frank
guided the Capitals to the first win of the season pitching 3 solid
innings. The Capitals closed the game out with Taylor
Kieselbeck (Simsbury,CT) and Devin Sanchez (South Windsor, CT).
