Coaches

The coaching staff is the lifeblood of our program. We only hire people that possess a baseball background. Our coaching staff is what will separate us from other traveling teams. Our coaches have played or coached in a collegiate baseball program or professional organization. Our owner, Bill Masse, is a current Double A manager for the San Diego Padres. The instruction our coaches will provide from their playing and coaching experience cannot be matched by other teams. Our coaching staff will share their personal experiences playing and coaching baseball, and the importance of their dedication and hard work to achieving success on the field.

Typically, the coaches in our program are not parents of players. The coaches we select have solid baseball credentials (professional, college and high school experience) and must be teachers in the truest sense. They will all follow the Connecticut Capitals curriculum developed by Bill Masse. The Capitals will be run like a professional organization - every level will follow the same curriculum with adjustments being made for each age level. All our coaches must have a component of teaching in their resume. Perhaps even more important must be their passion for working with kids.
